Part Time Advocate

IAC is looking for a Part Time/Relief Advocate to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to provide crisis intervention, systems advocacy and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Minimum Qualifications include an Associates degree in Human Services or closely related field; sufficient job, school or life experience may be used in lieu of the education. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills and the ability to be flexible in a fast paced teamwork environment. An advocate will have experience handling sensitive issues in a mature and confidential manner with integrity and compassion, the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles, a commitment to the agency’s mission and goals and the ability to pass a background check. Candidate must also be able to work nights and weekends.

Safe - T Housing Case Manager
Job Description
Overview:
This Housing Case Manager will be responsible for working with victims of human trafficking and the daily operations of our housing. This position will also work with individuals in the community healing from human trafficking. This case manager will assist clients in developing a wide range of life skills, connecting clients to community resources, and maintaining the physical space so clients may live safely and comfortably. In addition, this position will assist in outreach in the Fairbanks community to help form a coalition in order to educate the public on Human Trafficking.

The Transitional Housing Case Manager is responsible for the daily operations of our transitional housing apartments and their inhabitants. This case manager will work with the community organizations to house individuals and families. This case manager will assist clients in developing a wide range of life skills, connect clients to community resources, and maintain the physical space so clients may live safely and comfortably.
The ideal candidate is patient, comfortable with conflict, has the ability to set expectations and hold people accountable, and is willing to keep a flexible schedule.
